The Truth in Comedy

Comedy in its funniest form comes directly from our lives. The Truth in Comedy: The Manual of Improvisation is the manual that we use to "make us funny". Even in stand up comedy comedians use real life examples and situations with witty observations that we can all relate to. A joke is funniest when you can relate to it. For example a comedian talking about how his mother-in-law walked in on him/her using the bathroom is more believable than the time that he/she burried their mother-in-law in the desert alive, then got abducted by aliens. For examples click on the links below, and look for the truth in these jokes as they go along.

  1. I thought this was really well written. It's definitely more funny to hear a joke when it's believable and could actually happen. Sometimes I have a hard time enjoying comedians because they just make the same dirty body part jokes that were only funny the first time. However, I thought these links were pretty awesome and they gave me a good laugh. Also by reading your blog, I remembered that I am supposed to put links in mine, so thank you!
